Typical, I get so caught up in the minutia of structure that I find it cripplingly difficult to execute my musical ideas, and then instead end up accidentally creating something spontaneous that is more interesting to me.
Seachange is a C minor chord on piano, hyper-stretched, cut up, layered, processed, filtered, stitched together into a single continuous but shifting drone. I was able to get some musical dynamics in there too, which is impressive for one chord. The piano at times sounds more like an organ, especially the pitched-up swells and the Leslie speaker simulation at the end. This, with some work, will end up informing a larger work, but for now it is what it is.
